CLEVELAND, OH and MT. LAUREL, NJ USA – August 9, 2023 – The PDI Group, through its newly formed acquisition affiliate, Polytech Defense Spares, announces that it has acquired the assets of Polytechnic Industries, Inc. (Polytechnic). Polytechnic is a producer of fasteners, small gun parts, gears, light assemblies and other hard-to-find spare parts in support of the US Department of Defense (DoD).
Founded in 1970 by its current President, Alvin Lanson, Polytechnic has been a longtime supplier of critical fasteners and failure-critical gun parts to the DoD and was placed on their Qualified Suppliers List of Manufacturers (QSLM), a list of esteemed manufacturers that the DoD deems trustworthy to manufacture these parts. The newly formed company, Polytech Defense Spares, will remain in Mt. Laurel, NJ and will continue to be operated by Polytechnic’s current Vice Presidents, Eric Miller (promoted to President) and Steve Lanson. Alvin Lanson will retire on December 31, 2023.

Annual revenues for The PDI Group will now exceed $25 million as a result of this transaction.
