Manufacturing

PDI’s manufacturing facility (located in Solon, Ohio, USA) spans over 100,000 square feet and includes many value-added operations, such as:

​

  • Precision CNC machining and shearing

  • Manual machining using punch presses, chuckers, and drill presses

  • Welding of both aluminum and steel

  • Welders are certified to: AWS D1.1 (Steel Structural), D1.2 (Aluminum Structural), D1.3 (Sheet-thin sheet metals), D1.6 (Stainless Steel Structural), AWDS D17.1 (Aerospace) and MIL-STD-1595 (Aircraft, Missile and Aerospace)

  • Painting (meeting or exceeding OSHA, EPA, NFPA, State and Federal requirements)

  • Packaging and shipping per military standard specifications

Our manufacturing managers and supervisors have a combined 100+ years of experience in the manufacture of weapons handling products and aircraft support equipment. Our employees are cross-trained in order to handle bottlenecks so that greatest efficiencies are achieved.
