The PDI Group Acquires CM Manufacturing

CLEVELAND, OH and MISSOULA, MT USA – October 12, 2026 – The PDI Group, through its newly formed acquisition affiliate, CM Aerospace, is pleased to announce the acquisition of CM Manufacturing, Inc (CM). Since 1986, CM has been a manufacturer of flight critical and flight safety landing gear components used on fighter jets, bombers, helicopters, and transport and commercial aircraft.

CM, which holds AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality certifications, will remain in Missoula, Montana, and will continue to be led by its current President, Gene Conrad.  Former owner, Ken Johnson, will remain a consultant to the company.

“I am excited to join The PDI Group of companies,” said Conrad.  “Their international reach and aerospace experience will help us continue to lead the way in landing gear component manufacturing.”  Ken Johnson echoed that sentiment: “I knew that when I met The PDI Group, they were a perfect fit to help in the succession of CM.  They share my same values of integrity, transparency, and doing the right thing, and I am looking forward to CM Aerospace’s evolution under their leadership.”

Nathan Haber, Co-President of The PDI Group, said: “This acquisition further expands our reach within the aerospace industry and allows us to provide strategic input and oversight to a well-established business.  We see the value in what Ken and his team have created, and we are excited to help assist in their continued growth.”  The Group’s other Co-President, Ryan Haber, added: “We have learned a great deal about the aerospace industry since our acquisition of Colinear in early 2025, and are eager to bring a fresh perspective to Gene and the entire team.”

The PDI Group, through its member companies in Ohio, New Jersey, and Montana (PDI Ground Support Systems, KWD Aircraft Support Equipment, Polytech Defense Spares, Colinear Aerospace, and now CM Aerospace), encompasses 170,000 square feet of manufacturing space and specializes in weapons and aircraft support equipment, mobility systems, aerospace flight critical components, and hard-to-find fasteners and components in support of the U.S. Department of Defense and 55 allied air forces worldwide.  With this acquisition, annual revenues for The PDI Group will exceed $45 million.
