As of June 20, 2025, PDI Ground Support Systems (PDI) and KWD Aircraft Support Equipment have self-assessed to a perfect score of 110 per NIST SP 800-171. NIST 800-171 is a set of cyber protection guidelines published by the US government that standardizes how federal contractors handle and protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The score ranges from -203 to 110, so quite often contractors remain in the negative score range until they are able to successfully implement the many stringent controls imposed by these regulations. The US government has put these controls in place to ensure that contractors are properly protected against cyber attacks so that CUI and other covered defense information is not compromised.
"We have been working tirelessly over the prior year to get to this point," said Nathan Haber, PDI's Vice President of Sales and Business Development. "With our recent cyber assessment by DCMA in which we scored a 90, we knew we were on the right track. Today's milestone is another achievement in our cybersecurity process, and we will now turn our focus to becoming CMMC level 2 certified."
PDI anticipates achieving CMMC level 2 certification later this year.
