C196 Tail/Horizontal Stand

The C196 Tail/Horizontal Stand unit consists of 3 manually adjusted work platforms used in combination to provide a continuous working surface under the horizontal stabilizer. The units are constructed of aluminum and provided with swivel-locking casters and jacks for vertical adjustment. The outer wing stands can be moved forward to work the leading edge or moved aft to work the trailing edge control surfaces.

The function of the unit is used for maintenance personnel to access the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer and aft section of the fuselage or trailing edge of horizontal stabilizer.
